本アプリが利用者の情報をどう扱うか。
このページでは、Left Right（以下「本アプリ」）が利用者の情報をどう扱うかを説明します。
提供者は Shinichi Nambu（以下「開発者」）です。本アプリは macOS 向けのユーティリティで、2 つのファイルやフォルダーを左右に並べて違いを示し、必要な変更だけを取り込みます。
本アプリはデータを一切集めません。アカウントを作る必要はなく、利用状況の解析も収集も行いません。ネットワークへは一切つながりません。開いたファイルの内容も、比較の結果も、この Mac の外へは出ません。
本アプリは、次のいずれの情報も開発者や外部へ送信せず、収集もしません。
本アプリはアカウント登録を必要とせず、利用状況の解析も収集も行いません。
ただし「最近使った比較」のために、次の 5 項目だけをこの Mac の中に保存します。ファイルの内容は保存しません。
組み込んでいる外部のライブラリは、表の読み取りに使う社内ライブラリの SwiftSheets だけです（Apple の標準の仕組みを除く）。
読み書きの対象は、利用者が自分で選んだファイルとフォルダーに限られます。

⌘S で初めてディスクに触れます。これらのデータは開発者のサーバーへ送られることはなく、開発者が見ることもできません。
本アプリはネットワーク通信を行いません。ネットワークに接続する権利（entitlement）を持っていません。利用者のデータを外部サーバーへ送信せず、第三者に提供・共有・販売することもありません。直販版のヘルプには「Web で更新を確認…」があり、選ぶとブラウザーでダウンロードページが開きます。アプリ自身は通信しません。macOS が集めた不具合の記録の扱いは 06 をご覧ください。
本アプリは Apple の App Sandbox の中で動きます。持っている権利（entitlements）は次の 3 つだけです。
アクセスできるのは、利用者が開いた、または選んだファイルとフォルダー（フォルダーはその中を含みます）と、選んだ保存先だけです。最近使った比較はブックマークで覚え、失効しても消さず、灰色で残して「アクセスを許可…」から再認可できます。
本アプリは不具合の報告を送信しません。ネットワークに接続する権利を持っていないためです。macOS が集めた不具合の記録が Apple へ送られるのは、配布経路によらず、利用者が macOS の設定で共有を許可しているときだけです。開発者が見るのは、Apple の仕組みを通じて届いたその範囲だけです。
ファイルの内容はログへ出しません。

How the app treats information about you.
This page explains how Left Right (“the app”) handles information about you.
Shinichi Nambu (“the developer”) provides the app. It is a macOS utility that places two files or folders side by side, shows what differs, and brings across only the changes you want.
The app gathers no data. There is no account to create, and no usage analytics or collection. It never communicates over the network. What you open, and what your comparisons produce, stay on your Mac.
The app neither sends the following anywhere nor collects it:

For “Recent Comparisons”, however, it does store five items on your Mac. File contents are never stored:
The only external library bundled with the app is the in-house SwiftSheets library, used to read tables (not counting Apple’s standard frameworks).
Reading and writing are limited to the files and folders you choose yourself.
⌘S is the first moment the disk is touched.None of this data reaches the developer’s servers, and the developer cannot see it.
The app performs no network communication. It has no network entitlement. Your data is never sent to an external server, and is never provided, shared or sold to third parties. The direct version’s Help menu has “Check for Updates on the Web…”, which opens the download page in your browser. The app itself does not communicate. How macOS handles the bug reports it collects is described in 06.
The app runs inside Apple’s App Sandbox. It holds three entitlements, and no more:
It can only reach the files you open and the folders you choose (including their contents), plus the save destinations you pick. Recent comparisons are remembered as bookmarks; an expired bookmark is kept in gray with a “Grant Access…” button rather than being dropped.
The app does not send bug reports: it has no network entitlement. Any bug reports macOS collects reach Apple only when you allow sharing in macOS settings, regardless of how you got the app. The developer sees only the reports that Apple passes on.
File contents are never written to logs.
